Yellow Anne Raspberry is a productive primocane variety, also known as ever-bearing. It produces large amber fruit from July till frost.
Yellow Anne Raspberry (Rubus ideaus)
I planted Yellow Anne Raspberry in my sheet mulch garden in the spring of 2016 and it produced a few berries the first year. In 2017, it produced a couple of berries a day from mid-July until the fall. The berries taste sweet and not as tart as the red varieties.
The bush maintains an upright shape and is attractive in the landscape, not unwieldy like a lot of cane fruit. This variety is fairly disease resistant, but I have noticed a lot of stink bugs and fruit flies around the fruit. There are also fruit flies because I have left several fruit on the canes for many days past ripeness. There has been an excess of stinkbugs in WV this year and they do seem to like soft fruit.
