Aromatnaya Russian Quince Cydonia oblonga is a cold hardy small tree that produces a bright yellow edible fruit. It has pink and white flowers in the spring and in the fall it has delicious sweet lemony flavored fruit that can be eaten fresh off the bush or cooked into many different recipes. The fruit grows green and ripens to a yellow color and has the shape of a pear. This is one of the few quince varieties where the fruit tastes good enough right off the tree to be eaten uncooked.
In some areas of the country fire blight may be an issue.
