I love a good fig. I have been growing the below figs on my property for several years and they are at least hardy to USDA hardiness zone 7, although I would argue I live in a USDA hardiness zone 6 micro-climate on Jersey Mountain just outside of Romney, WV.

Most people think you have to be in a tropical environment to grow figs, but that is not the case. While they may die back to the ground during a bad winter, they will spring up from the hardy roots the following year and still produce these wonderfully amazing and delicious fruits.
